What You’ll Do
The People Operations Partner is responsible for providing an exceptional employee experience during an employee’s life cycle. The role is an integral bridge between the HR Operations team and the wider HR teams to support our business. The People Operations Partner is an integral part of the HR Operations team, seamlessly delivering all aspects of the employee experience to the business by partnering with many stakeholders throughout the organization.
40% – Job Changes & Internal Mobility

Process data and job changes in Workday ensuring correct information is entered in a timely manner to meet business objectives and for payroll to process. Inclusive of processing requests, Manager Changes, Department Transfers, Promotions, Compensation changes and Bonus payments.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strategize and assist with staffing needs. Assist with creating, closing and general management of requisitions and positions (job postings and position openings)

Community support – Act as a first point of contact for your assigned departments within the organization. Educate, troubleshoot, and guide employees towards resources and solutions. Facilitate staffing movements within assigned departments and offer general support to all employees within those areas.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
30% – New Hire Processing & Day 1 Orientation
-
Process essential onboarding new hire paperwork, ensuring compliance deadlines are met, as well as sending necessary communications to the new hires regarding important information.

Communicate to HR Function Stakeholders the list of new hires for onboarding/orientation activities to occur on Day 1 and within the new hire’s first week.

Assist with leading and evolving new hire pre-boarding and Day 1 orientation through analyzing feedback alongside stakeholders and streamlining experiences for new hires across US and Canada (manage onboarding logistics, new hire communications, internal updates)

Provide new employees with resources and internal tools to ensure they are set-up for success on their first day at the organization (company intranet links, help-documents, how-to resources).

Identify and analyze patterns and implement solutions to ensure a seamless new hire experience.

Working alongside other HR functions to ensure a smooth employee experience for current, new and existing employees of Horizon.
10% – Offboarding Procedures

Execute involuntary and voluntary departure process, including document creation and exit package management, notifying internal stakeholders of updates on departing employees, and processing departures in HRIS and ticketing system.

Ensure accurate tracking and completion of offboarding tasks (payroll processing of payments and notifications, exit surveys, departure tickets)

Perform entry level exit interviews. Create and audit exit interview notes as needed in HRIS.
10% – Reporting and Audit (Compliance)

Audit completed transactions and employee information in HR systems to ensure accuracy across all systems

Ensure data integrity and cleanup between HR systems
-
Manage Tier I employee questions related to time tracking, benefits, payroll, or other systems in ticketing system.
10% – Additional Responsibilities

Participate in special projects as required.

Prior to launch of Workday enhancements, participate in testing processes to identify changes or updates to current procedures that impact employees and the CTMs.

Train and reinforce education on Operational procedures pertaining to system management and processes (position management, req creation, job profile cleanup project, and other areas)

Maintain procedure documentation on People Operations processes

Complete employment verifications, as needed.

Ad hoc projects and tasks.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree

1-2 years’ experience in HR related field preferred

Salary Range
$64,350.00 – $80,000.00
A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education,  licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role. As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach. We provide a competitive total rewards package including a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, company paid holidays and unlimited paid time off (PTO), mental health and wellness resources, pet insurance, childcare resources, identity theft insurance, fertility assistance programs, and fitness reimbursement.
