As Finance Manager I, you will provide project and program leadership while providing supervision for Financial Analysts. In this role, you will participate in financial performance management initiatives alongside the Finance Director and leadership team, promoting proper payroll operations, cohesion and problem reconciliations. Ultimately, your work is crucial in ensuring all tax filings are completed accurately and timely, allowing caregivers to focus on supporting patients, not their paychecks. A caregiver in this position works remotely and lives in the greater Northeast Ohio area from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will: Â
- Partner with the Finance Director in all financial matters and provide analyses of business plans and initiatives.Â
- Identify benchmarks in financial performance, hospital throughput, cost per case, length of stay and productivity metrics.Â
- Assist in preparation of financial presentations to review operating performance.Â
- Assist the Finance Director in business operations, including financial reporting, billing and reimbursement, informatics and outside strategic business ventures.Â
- Assist in developing financial strategic business plans.Â
- Work with the Finance Director to prepare for the business review meetings and provide analysis and interpretation regarding business plans, new staff recruitment, variance analysis and fete requests.Â
- Work with the revenue cycle staff to ensure maximum reimbursement and adherence to revenue cycle related policies.Â
- Establish work plan and review activity of the reimbursement staff.Â
- Work with the Finance Director on the outlook and annual budget cycle including budget spreads, budget reconciliation, capital budget, business plans and any other budget-related responsibilities.Â
- Support the Finance Director with the treasury and research budget preparation.Â
- Ensure all tax deposits are balanced and funded for each payroll.Â
- Balance all quarter end/year end reporting.Â
- Work with third-party tax service to ensure all notices are responded to timely and accurately.Â
- Ensure payroll tax accuracy and maintain tax compliance for all jurisdictions.Â
- Partner with other areas in department and organization on projects involving payroll tax.Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Â
- Bachelor’s Degree and four years of professional and functionally relevant experience inclusive of demonstrated leadership of people, processes, projects or functions OR extensive experience and certificationsÂ
- Five years of Payroll Tax experience with an organization of over 10,000
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Â
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Â
- Master’s DegreeÂ
- Experience with multi-state and local taxesÂ
- Experience with Workday and ADP Smart ComplianceÂ

Physical Requirements:
