As part of the Global Human Resources Team, the Americas Payroll Analyst will lead Americas Payroll administration and work directly with third party providers, internal stakeholders, and other functional leads. Â

This role will be responsible for leveraging State Street’s Workday HCM / Payroll platform and other supporting systems such as our Service Provider tax and garnishment administration. This person will have a critical role in supporting payroll, tax liability reporting, auditing, working with General Ledger team, and banking with respect to tax reconciliation and funding. Â
Responsibilities
- Assist with Americas payroll administration by working with third party vendors and internal COE’s to process net payroll, tax remittances, and other statutory payments as required.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the payroll system by carefully reviewing all entries made and remaining aware of their impact on the payroll process.
- Compile and review audit reports for variances and change differences; investigate and correct any errors.
- Perform and/or review payroll audits for accuracy (four eye review).
- Coordinate pay adjustments, annual TCP processing, equity/stock, and understand required payroll laws.
- Provide support in funding reconciliations, payroll audits, quarterly processing and regulatory reporting as needed.
- Work with payroll outsource partner (Strada) and internal/external partners in the resolution of payroll issues and errors.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of various payroll reports to internal/external customers.
- Facilitate year end activities including yearend data loads, year-end tax form reconciliations, and research issues and corrections if needed.
- Maintain compliance with all payroll-related regulatory requirements including effective internal controls.
- Always maintain confidentiality regarding associates’ personal information and payroll data.
- Provide high-level of customer support and ensure positive customer interactions.
- Research tax notices and call states for resolution.
- Assist with state registrations and help serve as a payroll tax specialist.
- Help facilitate Tier3 customer tickets for resolution.
- Projects as assigned.

Essential Experience
- A minimum of two (5) years of working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax concepts in a multi-state environment.
- Working knowledge of Workday, Strada tax, and Equifax Unemployment Management is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of payroll principles and advanced knowledge of payroll reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of Employment, Payroll, Tax, and Wage & Hour concepts and regulations and all jurisdictional requirements.
Salary Range:
$65,000 – $102,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
