The Senior Staff Accountant performs a variety of duties to support the accurate and timely financial reporting functions of Full Sail, LLC. This includes maintaining accurate records for fixed assets, capital leases, projects-in-progress, inventory, and reconciling the related general ledger accounts. This position also assists with and supports the treasury and financial aid functions of Full Sail, LLC to include Title IV draw functions and certain other banking-related duties, and the related reconciliations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•   Primary responsibility for fixed asset additions, including reconciling projects-in-progress.
•   Responsible for gathering and providing all necessary supporting documents to lease new
fixed asset additions and reconcile leased assets to the final lease documents.
•   Place all assets in service, ensuring assets are placed in the correct location, assigned to
the correct category and life, and leased assets are tagged with the corresponding lease.
•   Reconcile fixed assets and resolve any discrepancies as part of the monthly close.
•   Responsible for drawing down and refunding Title IV funds from the G6 system.
•   Complete all G6 reconciliations.
•   Perform monthly bank reconciliations for select accounts.
•   Research and respond to all stop-pay requisitions, NSF checks, credit card chargebacks,
and bank image requests.
•   Approve/reject positive pay requests.
•   Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Other Responsibilities:
•   Serve as a backup for daily cash reporting, bank deposits, living expense and refund checks.
•   Provide audit support and other document request support as and when needed.
•   Assist with other accounting functions in support of the monthly close as needed.

Education and/or Experience:
•   Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting
•   3-5 years of accounting experience
•   Prior higher education accounting experience and Title IV experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
•   CPA License or eligible to sit for CPA an advantage
Computer/Equipment Skills:
•   Proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications
•   Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains required
•   Experience with Workday or similar Accounting ERP System preferred
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job,
the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and
employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system;
enter alphanumeric data into a computerized system.
