Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Radiology, oversees the daily operations of the Radiology Department, while ensuring optimal patient care. Oversees the operations and makes corrective actions to ensure expected target results are achieved. Ensures the overall effectiveness of human and capital assets across multi-department service locations. Carefully monitors exam capacity & utilization. Carefully monitors pre-established benchmark productivity standards and makes personnel schedule changes as necessary to maintain established benchmark targets. Acts as a department subject matter field expert and liaison to various clients by following closely industry imaging protocol trends and changes in technology trends. Makes recommendations to the Director for imaging growth opportunities based on relevant research. Is responsible for maintaining, developing, promoting, or launching new strategic initiatives as planned under the guidance of the Imaging Director or Medical Director. Makes responsible recommendations for capital equipment acquisitions.
Education
Graduate of an educational program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Four years of formal training or education in specialty or related specialty (e.g., Bachelors Degree) or two years formal training with a minimum of 6 years clinical experience.
Certification, Registration & Licensure
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or other credentialing agency (RDMS, CNMT)
Licensed and certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
Experience
3+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
3 years of supervisory experience required
Additional certification in an advanced modality is preferred
Responsibilities

Exhibits strong organizational and leadership skills to efficiently manage and oversee the daily operations of the Radiology Department across all locations

Acts like an owner for the organization, department and areas of oversight

Strong knowledge of Radiology procedures and equipment

Maintains current knowledge of and assures compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards and requirements

Interviews, hires, counsels, and, under the Director's guidance, terminates personnel in areas of responsibility in accordance with CHHS policy, procedures, and processes. Acts as a role model for ultimate responsibility and develops processes and standards to ensure team member responsibility. Makes corrective actions as required.

Monitor and evaluate departmental performance metrics, and makes changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Monitors budgetary parameters to ensure financial stewardship and takes action to correct budgetary variances

Effectively monitors payroll compliance for accurate completion of all payroll functions within specified time frames. Ensures Workday compliance through team member audits and reviews trends.

Ensures that self and all team members' annual performance appraisals are completed on time.

Provide ongoing training to employees on new applications and processes

Collaborates closely with other departments to develop interdisciplinary relationships to foster effective planning and teamwork to develop an integration of services to promote and grow patient care initiatives

Uses and maintains technology systems that are needed to perform all duties.

Actively engages in departmental, team and committee initiatives.

Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.

Adheres to department policy and procedures.
