POSITION: Talent Acquisition Coordinator

LOCATION: Hybrid Position – DSST Home Office (Denver) / Remote

SALARY: $52,500 – $62,600 based on aligned years of experience (up to 10 years). We also offer a relocation stipend for candidates moving 75+ miles to join us in Denver!
STATUS: Full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt position

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Talent Acquisition Team is responsible for recruiting and hiring outstanding, equity-driven educators across our 16 schools. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator plays a critical role in this work, helping ensure every DSST student has access to an exceptional teacher who reflects and celebrates their identity and lived experience. This role is perfect for an early-career professional who is energized by event planning, marketing strategy, and connecting with prospective educators about DSST’s mission.

This individual will join a dynamic, collaborative team with strong systems already in place to support their success. With a robust onboarding plan and clear structures, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be set up to confidently contribute from day one—engaging in candidate outreach, supporting hiring events, and guiding prospective teachers through the application process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Evaluation / Hiring Support (20%)

  • Conduct application reviews and initial interviews for targeted teaching roles

  • Serve as hiring lead for at least one assigned content area (e.g., Spanish Teachers), managing full-cycle hiring

  • Support school leaders with hiring process logistics and communication

  • Maintain accurate hiring data and system integrity

  • Share weekly hiring updates and recommendations with team

Sourcing, Marketing & Brand Awareness (50%)

  • Collaborate on diversity-focused recruitment strategies

  • Manage job postings across external boards and university platforms

  • Create recruitment and promotional materials (digital + print)

  • Represent DSST at local and national events and engage 1:1 with prospects

  • Drive communication campaigns, network referrals, and candidate outreach

  • Collaborate with our Marketing & Communications team to amplify brand awareness

Event Management (10%)

  • Plan and execute school visits and hiring events

  • Represent DSST at career fairs and networking events

  • Plan and execute DSST-hosted events such as our annual DSST Virtual Teacher Panel

Data & Systems Management (20%)

  • Maintain accurate records in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

  • Track and analyze recruitment pipeline health and strategy effectiveness

  • Optimize job postings, message campaigns, and search engine visibility

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • No bachelor’s degree required; we value relevant experience, transferable skills, and a passion for DSST’s mission.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to influence and build relationships

  • Willingness to travel locally

  • Deep personal and professional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (not required) in Human Resources, Marketing, Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field is preferred.

  • Alumni of DSST Public Schools (strongly preferred)

  • Experience in K–12 education, event planning, or talent/recruitment work

  • Comfort using systems like Google Suite, Hubspot, and Workday Recruiting

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
