Is this the role for you?
To manage the processing of the fortnightly and monthly pay runs consisting of 400 – 500 employees, completing month end and financial year end processes and reporting, superannuation submissions, providing payroll reports to other stakeholders in the business, manage a team of one direct report, and ensuring Ricoh stays compliant with all payroll related legislation by keeping yourself and your team up to date legislation changes
Key Responsibility:
- Managing the End to End Processing of the Monthly pay run
- Month End / Year end payroll processing and reporting
- Superannuation calculation and submissions
- Lead a team of one direct report, the Payroll Officer (responsible for fortnightly pay runs), and develop their skills by sharing knowledge and encouragement of professional growth
- Manage the calculation and processing of terminations, new starters, salary package amendments
- Maintain the payroll cashbook
- Provide Payroll Reports to managers and key stakeholders within the business
- Utilise knowledge of awards, employment conditions and payroll related legislations and keep up to date with all legislative changes
- Updating Payroll Procedures and keeping them current
- Ensure that all reports and supporting documentation are filed in the appropriate system folders following each pay run
- Use of paperless workflows throughout most of your tasks, and contribute to further developing these processes

- High degree of data accuracy – by whole Payroll Team
- Timely and accurate submission of Superannuation
- Strong working relationships with wider Ricoh and external stakeholders.
- Highly responsive to internal customer needs and queries.
- Setting and delivering on individual and team KPI’s
- Full compliance with Ricoh internal and corporate policy, National Employment Standards, employment conditions and payroll related legislations
To be successful in this role:
Key Selection Criteria
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional senior payroll position
- Solid understanding of Awards, employment conditions and payroll related legislation principles
- Experience in Month end and Year end systems processing and Government agency submissions
- Knowledge of relevant payroll software (Elmo preferred)
- Knowledge of Workday highly desirable
- Proficient in data entry and management, high degree of accuracy
- Experience in managing a small team, and setting individual and team KPI’s
- Self-starter with strong initiative and attention to detail and accuracy. Can-do attitude.
- Solutions focused with well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills.
