The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.   

What You’ll Work On

  • Build configuration, Test, and Deploy solutions in Workday system to support Global Compensation and Benefits (C&B) processes and upgrades.
  • Understand customer’s requirements and assist/participate with the project team on the most appropriate approach and desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate assigned deliverable schedules to ensure customer’s timelines are met.  Provide guidance to customers or service partners.
  • Support the continued development, optimization, and simplification of Workday C&B processes, reports, and integrations, focusing on delivering a positive experience to the end-user.
  • Work directly with business clients and/or application vendors to confirm technical/business requirements, consider design alternatives, facilitate discussions, and ultimately drive requirements sign-off. Evaluate, communicate, and coordinate the technical impacts of application configuration decisions.
  • Create detailed system Configuration design documentation, Functional design documentation, integration specifications, field mapping, and system process designs.
  • Work independently to configure, test, and deploy business processes, reports, condition rules, eligibility rules, calculated fields, or integrations required to meet business requirements.
  • Support C&B processes, integrations, and reports across multiple geographies via system monitoring and internal case management system. 
  • Manage work activities and ticket volumes to meet required SLA’s and service delivery measures.
  • Understand and document the HR business requirements and translate requirements into system designs.
  • Create, maintain, and execute UAT scripts including regression testing the new functionality before deployment.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple requests.
  • Actively participate in the Workday Community, training, and regional user groups to ensure awareness of current trends and innovation.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Applies and executes standard information systems theories, concepts, and techniques and assists in the development of standards and procedures. 
  • Investigates alternatives, which use existing applications and make recommendations. 
  • Conducts tests; develops preliminary findings for review by management.  Conducts training. 
  • Manages projects according to milestones and within budget constraints.  Identifies and implements process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 4-7 years of HR experience.
  • 3+ years of Workday Benefits, hands on experience required.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other Workday HCM modules including Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Performance.
  • Experience supporting reports and integrations from Workday to internal and external systems using Workday technologies including calculated fields, custom reports, EIBs.
  • Workday certification/training preferred.
  • Experience in applications and databases such as Oracle and Workday Extend
