Job Description:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required.
Work Experiences:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience— to include a combination of data processing, HRIS system analysis, knowledge of integration design and management, report/query design and development, and execution of system test scripts.
- 2+ years of experience using Workday, with an emphasis on payroll, absence, time tracking, workforce management and reporting preferred.
- 2+ years of experience using Kronos Timekeeping, Kronos Workforce Central (WFC) and/or UKG Pro Workforce Management (formerly Dimensions).
- Prior experience participating in at least one HRIS upgrade highly desired – preferably experience that is payroll-focused.
- FPC/CPP Preferred
Skills:
- Proficiency in Workday Payroll and knowledge of payroll configuration in conjunction with HCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Time Off, Time Keeping, and Workforce Management.
- Understanding of the full cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll, and related data flow.
- Demonstrated experience developing, documenting, and configuring business processes, advanced calculated fields, and reporting in Workday is preferred.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks and deliverables.
- Proven ability to develop detailed configuration specification documentation.
- Strong technical aptitude; analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize, remain calm under pressure, pay attention to detail, and make decisions independently based on fact-based data and analysis.
- Excellent time-management skills, able to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day functions of payroll systems, team, and processes.
- Manage direct and/or indirect reports and oversee responsibilities for the systems team.
- Support stores and distribution operations teams related to UKG Pro Workforce Management system.
- Work in partnership with business partners to ensure a consistent focus on production support, service requests, and roadmap initiatives to ensure a balanced delivery of service and solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Design and implement process improvements to increase efficiencies and ensure reliability.
- Collaborate in the ongoing design, configuration, deployment, and upgrades of the workforce management system, UKG Pro Workforce Management, including by but not limited to new store setup, reorganizations, integration maintenance, etc.
- Collaborate in the ongoing design, configuration, deployment, and upgrades of the human capital management application, Workday; including, but not limited to, business process configuration, conditional logic-based rules and code-based system configurations and validations.
- Manage the optimization of efficient business process strategies for end-to-end processes to achieve efficiency, productivity, improved controls and/or to align with department/business goals.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors (UKG and AXSIUM).
- Manage UKG Pro Workforce Management issues within UKG Community.
- Provide support for the UKG Pro Mobile App.
- Timeclock management- including maintaining firmware updates, troubleshooting, minor repairs, replacement, new clock setup, and inventory.
- Monitor payroll related interfaces from Workday and UKG Pro Workforce Management systems.
- Develop ad-hoc analysis and custom report development as needed/upon request by writing queries utilizing system-delivered report-writing tools.
- Facilitate stakeholder requirements gathering sessions, while effectively communicating issues and risks, to ensure requirements are known/documented for payroll system changes.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, regression testing, validation, and overall performance; analyze software releases to assess impact of new features.
- Create, validate, and execute all test scenarios for recommended configuration changes and ensure that all business processes are fully tested to guarantee all business requirements have been met.
- Understands, documents and communicates impact of configuration changes to all business processes across the platform and the system users.
- Reviews system data on a regular basis to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness; performs any necessary data clean up and sanitization.
- Serve as the Workday subject matter expert to internal customers; Provides technical support for production support issues including, but not limited to, researching and resolving technical problems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Development of advanced reports using Workday Report Writer and creation and maintenance of dashboards for ongoing customer needs.
- Develop Workday calculated fields and condition rules.
- Required to learn company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
