ACRT Services offers expert independent consulting solutions to utilities and associated organizations throughout the United States, including vegetation management consulting, arborist training, customized safety courses, technology solutions, utility metering services, and more. ACRT Services is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the accounts payable process, direct the processing of invoices, and manage the general ledger expense accounts.

This position will be required to report to the Stow, Ohio office as needed. At this time, ACRT Services is not offering 100% remote work opportunities. ACRT Services employees work hybrid schedules in office and at-home.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee reports regarding cash flow and cash forecasting.

  • Ensure correct payments are made in a timely manner.

  • Develop and maintain guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain the general ledger expense accounts.

  • Reconciles accounts payable total to the general ledger monthly.

  • Manage vendor accounts in Workday.

  • Ensures proper record keeping of purchases for use in tax preparation (CA and OH specifically).

  • Ensure tax identification numbers for preparation of annual 1099.

  • Prepare and submit 1099 reports.

  • Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum

    • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.

  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum

    • 1-2 years in accounts payable

  • Preferred

    • 1-2 years in accounts payable with at least 1 report

Desired skills:

  • Workday experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions.

  • Excellent supervisory and analytical skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to motivate staff.
