In this role, the business analyst will support our Accounting & Finance, HR, Operations and IT stakeholders in the optimization, on-going maintenance, operational and technical support of all aspects of the Workday Ecosystem which include HCM, Finance, Adaptive Budgeting, Projects and Safety. The business analyst will be a key member in the Workday Center of Excellence team and must have excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders on their requirements, turn those into design ideas, test, implement and provide ongoing support.

Essential Duties

  • Serve as a Workday expert to centralize knowledge between the HCM, Finance, Adaptive Budgeting, Project and Safety modules.
  • Identify, analyze and document business requirements.
  • Facilitate design sessions with stakeholders to define solutions.
  • List and track project status and timeline, establish project scope and estimates.
  • Organize user acceptance testing with end users and perform testing on system changes.
  • Assist with maintaining system security for users and business processes while ensuring data integrity and system stability.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting on Workday security, integrations, reports and business processes.
  • Identify and implement ways to make current processes within Workday more efficient.
  • Assist with analyzing, coordinating and testing functionality of bi yearly Workday releases and ensure expected system operations across upgrades.
  • Perform audits on security and scheduled processes.
  • Keep up to date on new and upcoming Workday functionality through releases and Workday Community resources.

Experience Requirement


  • 2 years of business analyst or project management or quality analyst or systems analyst experience.
  • 6 months of Workday knowledge or Workday implementation experience.


  • 3-5 years of related business analyst experience working knowledge of HR and or Finance processes.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Workday HCM or ERP

Education Requirement

  • Minimum – Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems.

Desired Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Workday configurations including:
    • Security configuration – domains, user based, role based, segment based and business process security.
    • Experience with integrations including: EIB, Core Connectors and Studio.
    • Experience with Integration Security (ISU, ISSG).
    • Experience in Workday Studio with BIRT.
    • Knowledge of Workday HCM, Finance, Adaptive and Projects modules.
    • Experience in Workday business process creation and maintenance.
    • Experience with Workday report writer and calculated fields.
