About the Team:
The Human Resources team offers consultancy and advice that's tailored to meet the business's immediate and long-term needs by applying a combination of innovative thinking and pragmatic methodology to deliver effective results.
Additionally, the team supports the business in attracting and retaining the right people needed to successfully implement their strategies, establish reliable partnerships, and work with leaders to understand present and anticipated human resource needs. They partner with employees and leaders to help foster a more meaningful employee experience.
About the Role:
Reporting into Senior Manager, Employee Experience and Program Delivery, the Workday and Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our human resources processes, managing and automating them within Workday HCM. As a key Workday resource, the candidate will possess strong Workday HCM functional knowledge and expertise across several modules to ensure they meet the company’s needs, including recruitment and onboarding, payroll interface, time tracking, time off and leave, benefits, learning and talent/performance management. They work closely with HR business partners to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, provide functional support to colleagues and enhance user experience.
Your Responsibilities:
HR Strategy Support:

Support he alignment of the HR strategy with AGF’s strategic objectives and develop actionable and measurable strategies to achieve them

Regularly review deliverables, based on changes in the business environment or the firm’s strategic objectives

Keeping current on enhancements contained in Workday releases, determining applicability to evolving HR and business needs, and assist in establishing the Workday HCM technology multi-year roadmap.
Workday Implementation and Optimization:

Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of HCM Workday modules

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Workday into our HR processes

Continuously improve system functionality and user experience through projects or enhancements

Document business requirements for maintenance, new or changing applications within business process or as part of enhancements and projects

Identify, assess, and provide business requirements, recommending business priorities whenever required
-
Perform impact assessments for Workday upgrades

Develop plan and testing strategy and evaluate regression testing tools
-
Participate in user acceptance testing of changes made to the solution and provide sign offs on design and testing

Review Workday release notes and assess technical impacts and determine solutions
-
Identify areas for process improvement and sponsor improvement activities
Project Management:
-
Provide management oversight for the day-to-day management operations, including risk mitigation and service quality management

Conduct formal communications to all the Stakeholders
-
Collect key metrics and KPI across tracks and present status reports to Stakeholders

Assist in resolving issues in a timely manner and escalates risks and issues in a timely manner

Validate prioritization and categorization of changes and enhancements with Stakeholders
Data Management and Reporting:

Manage employee and contingent worker data within Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards using Workday’s reporting tools to support decision-making and HR strategy

Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and meet the needs of stakeholders
Process Enhancement:

Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes for efficiency and effectiveness

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures

Train and mentor HR colleagues and end-users on Workday HCM functionality
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with HR business partners, IT, and other relevant teams
-
Collaborate with vendors and consultants to enhance Workday capabilities
-
Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to implement changes, updates, and new policies to maintain compliance and mitigate risk

Facilitate user acceptance and validation of functionality with the business

Communicate system updates and changes to stakeholders
Your Qualifications:
-
University bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources Management
-
5-7 years of experience with HCM Workday
-
Proven experience managing Workday implementations and enhancements with a strong understanding of operational procedures and policies
-
Described as detail-oriented, analytical, and has strong problem-solving skills. Adept at managing HR systems and databases, with a focus on improving HR processes and data accuracy

A self-started and strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills. Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a focus on optimizing business processes and improving efficiency

Possesses exceptional communication, impact and influence, and interpersonal skills
-
Project Management (some experience preferred)

Service Management/Change Management (some experience preferred)

Ability to identify impacts of changes to the application

HR business knowledge preferred
