About the Role

Responsible for administering human resources services including payroll, employee engagement survey and other human resources operational activities

1.Support People Managers in people related matters

  • Support people managers to perform their people related activities/matters, including but not limited to help and facilitate People Managers in initiating related requests in Workday should they require help

2.HR Advisory and Complex Inquiries Handling

  • Handle general inquiries raised and logged through case management via Workday.  These inquiries typically require investigation and follow up actions such as but not limited to: payroll discrepancies, taxes, policy clarification for exceptions and special circumstances, e.g. leave of absence, Workday processes / navigation

  • Provide advice/guidance to general employees on standard policy matters, as necessary

  • Provide advice to supervisor / team lead / people manager on probation extension cases and any job change requests

  • Handle grievances and complaint cases

  • Escalate exception case to either HRBP or HR functional specialist for complex employee relation matters such as misconduct or staff fraud cases

  • Handle off boarding of general employees; and handle enquiries from ex-employees

3.Support employee record maintenance in Workday and perform audit checks in employee documents

  • Maintain employee records in Workday when employees or managers do not have access or unable to update the records in Workday for special circumstances, including but not limited to apply leave of absence for employees, update overdue’s time off record and overtime claims, update department reorganization information

  • Sample document checks on employee uploaded certifications, documents etc. on a monthly basis

4.  Overall focal point in HR in change requests and people experience enhancement related to Workday processes.

  • Managing change requests via JIRA and support HR users in the event they have any issue with JIRA

  • Collaborate with relevant functional specialists on people experience enhancement in Workday processes

  • Convey any message received from HRIT to other HR community/employees

5. Operational improvement

  • Identify process/operations improvement opportunity based on day-to-day tasks management as well as feedback from employees, and drive for operational excellence
