Manager, Global Payroll Process Improvement and Projects

The Manager, Global Payroll Process Improvement and Projects will lead and support global payroll implementations and projects across multiple locations in the US, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. This role is responsible for leading and driving end-to-end Payroll processing strategies, innovations, and compliance across many regions.

A successful candidate should have experience with implementing payroll and working with project partners and external vendors to ensure that all aspects of a project are managed successfully and on time.

What You Will Do

  • Create a culture focused on continuous improvement, automation, compliance, vendor accountability and quality, and focused on measurable outcomes and improvements.

  • Responsible for performance and achievement of departmental goals and initiatives.

  • Facilitate project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.

  • Create and support project timelines, schedules, and deliverables.

  • Provide direction and support to project teams.

  • Perform quality assurance & payroll testing.

  • Develop and maintain systems documentation, including business processes, procedures, and training materials.

  • Accountable for regional compliance, controls, and audits, ensuring that Global Controls and SOPs are followed and updated as needed.

  • Accountable for payroll-related SOX compliance, including internally and from vendors.

  • Liaise between local Payroll and HR teams and ensure smooth communication & prompt resolution of all queries.

  • Partner effectively with HR, IT, Finance, and other functions to ensure appropriate flow of data and reporting.

Who You Are

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Payroll, HR, HRIT, or other related experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of global payroll calculations and processing, regulations, compliance, and audit.

  • Knowledge of labor regulations and taxation rules for the U.S., LATAM, EMEA, and APAC is preferred.

  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience in process optimization and continuous improvement practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, formidable verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with excel utilizing pivot tables, v-lookups, graphs, charts, etc.

  • Experience and skills in timekeeping reconciliation and analysis.

  • Prior experience in Payroll or HCM implementation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, and Timekeeping, ADP Streamline, and SAP.

  • Additional language skills are beneficial.
