Your role

Alchemy's Project Manager will provide project leadership, develop enduring partnerships with customers, and ensure the successful deployment of Workday. The Senior Project Manager will oversee and take full ownership of overall project deliverables and milestones to ensure the successful deployment of Workday HCM, Financials, and/or Student product; projects are deployed on time, within budget, and according to our customers’ high-quality expectations.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure Workday Platform (HCM, Fins, Payroll) deployments are properly planned, staffed, and delivered successfully.
  • Communicate and work effectively with customer stakeholders/steering committees, customer project managers, and internal teams to ensure a positive, sustainable result.
  • Ensure project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify the risks associated with the project and appropriately escalate project issues to customer team and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop risk mitigation solutions as needed with input from the internal project team and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of Workday HCM or Financials product suites.
  • Complete Workday project management certification and become an expert in the Workday implementation methodology.
  • Support sales cycles by helping with scoping, project estimation, and Statement of Work review.

About you (Required skills)

  • Extensive large enterprise (LE) Workday project management experience and the desire to support LE Workday Platform (HCM/Financials/Payroll) engagements as Alchemy seeks to move upmarket.
  • Willingness to straddle both Platform and Student projects depending on customer needs.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment and ability to motivate project team members.
  • Strong sales presentation skills.
  • Strong communication with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.
  • Strong project financial acumen.
  • Proficient in project management software and creating project plans, reports, and dashboards.
  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% (While approximately 20% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

About you (Bonus skills)

  • Experience leading higher education projects.
  • Project Management certification (PMP).
  • Experience with Smartsheets and Workday Projects.
