Job Description:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent oversees the day to day administrative and financial operations of the Department of Community Studies in the School of Wellness, Public Safety and Community Studies.
The incumbent provides guidance to the Chair and staff on all issues related to budget, policies and procedures as well as assists in the completion of the annual budget and quarterly reviews process.
The incumbent coordinates with the Chair a range of administrative functions within the department such as part-time faculty contracts, payroll processes, faculty workload (SWF’s), course loading and timetabling.
The incumbent assists with the creation and monitoring of payroll contracts for part-time faculty members, as well as the review of their timesheets.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) Year Diploma/ Degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Accounting;

Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible business/ budgetary administration experience, preferably at a post-secondary institution.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
-
Experience working in an Academic setting and being familiar with College specific IT Systems;

Experience with Workday, Adaptive Planning and Excel;

Great interpersonal and communication skills;

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
