Who You’ll Work With:
AllianceBernstein is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to budget and forecast as part of our Finance team. This role consists of detailed financial modeling, forecasting quarterly and year-end expectations, and analyzing deviations from those expectations through monthly and quarterly reporting. The position is part of AB’s Finance Team.
Reporting to the VP of Financial Compensation, this role is ideal for a Finance professional with an interest in analyzing data, building complex financial models, and handling sensitive information with a strong desire to manage details and deliver results. The successful candidate will be flexible and comfortable working with large volumes of data in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The individual will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Accounting, Human Capital, Legal, Tax, and all Business Units.Â
What You’ll Do:

Maintain complex financial models in Excel to analyze and report on compensation programs

Perform monthly expense & balance sheet accruals for the firm’s estimated compensation

Execute monthly forecasting and long-term plan calculations based on business unit and aggregated firm revenue projections

Deliver dynamic ad-hoc financial analytics to support senior leadership decision-making

Complete quarterly variance analysis, comparing quarter over quarter and year over year trends

Assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages for leadership

Respond to FP&A and leadership inquiries by acting as a single point of contact with Accounting, Payroll, Human Capital, and Legal areas

Perform GL account reconciliations, including detailed analysis of transactions, historical costs, and account balances

Assist internal and external auditors regarding AB’s SOX controls, providing supporting documentation where necessary
What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of experience in one of the following: financial planning & analysis, data analytics

Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related degree

Proficiency in Excel (x-lookups, sumifs, pivot tables, indexmatch, and/if statements) is essential

Experience building and maintaining financial models and manipulating large volumes of data

Attention to detail, accuracy and proven organizational skills are critical to success in this role

Must be comfortable working with large volumes of sensitive data

Ability to work collaboratively and cultivate strong partnerships with internal clients / colleagues

Excellent business judgment, problem-solving abilities, and presentation skills are required

Experience with Workday HCM and Workday Adaptive Planning a plus
