Senior Workday HRIS Analyst

What You’ll Do:

Workday Configuration & Business Process Management:

  • Configure and maintain various Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Benefits, Payroll, People Analytics, and Workday Help.
  • Optimize business processes within Workday, including approvals, notifications, and workflow configurations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Troubleshooting & Support:

  • Identify and resolve configuration issues in a production environment, such as system errors, data discrepancies, or performance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

User Training & Support:

  • Provide training and support to end users on effectively navigating and using Workday. Ensure timely assignment and resolution of HRIS tickets, acting as a key resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Project Leadership & Delivery:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday implementation and upgrade projects, including planning, scoping, testing, and deployment. Manage project roadmaps, track tasks, and uphold project expectations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, bringing together key resources to deliver successful outcomes.

Security Administration:

  • Administer security roles and permissions within Workday to ensure data privacy and compliance with security policies.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Create and customize advanced reports using Workday’s reporting tools, including Advanced, Composite, and Matrix reports. Manage and maintain People Analytics, Discovery Boards, and other dashboards.
  • Develop calculated fields to derive new data elements and perform complex calculations within Workday to generate actionable insights.

Testing, Validation & Integration:

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of Workday configurations, integrations, and data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Integrate Workday with other systems using technologies like EIBs, Core Connectors, and Studio Integrations.

Continuous Learning & Development:

  • Stay updated with the latest Workday features and best practices through exploration of Workday Community, sandbox environments, certifications, and professional development opportunities, while mentoring and developing junior HRIS resources.

Vendor & AMS Partner Management:

  • Oversee vendor interfaces, integrations, and reporting. Manage AMS partner projects related to business needs, providing timely follow-up and closure.

Strategic Planning & Influence:

  • Play a key role in decision-making processes, influencing system strategy, and contributing to long-term planning efforts.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Workday implementation, configuration, and post-production support.
  • Have exposure to configuration across 2-3 different modules with the Workday HCM suite.
  • Broad functional knowledge of HR as well as technical knowledge of Workday Business Processes, related business objects, and related security.
  • Proficiency in developing custom reports, building EIBs, and resolving issues within Workday.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effective cross-functional communication.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead large, cross-functional projects, interacting with team members at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver results on time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Pro Certification(s) in relevant modules.
  • Experience in a senior or lead role within an HRIS team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent years of experience in a relevant role.
