Specialist IS Architect-Tech and Workforce
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will focus on leading design and architecture tasks within our Internal SAFe Agile product team, specifically servicing Workforce Strategy and Planning processes. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in workforce planning, scenario modeling systems such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Orgvue, and Anaplan Workforce Planning. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture efforts for workforce planning and scenario modeling systems to support Amgen’s Workforce Strategy and Planning processes.

Collaborate closely with HR and business leaders to understand workforce planning requirements and translate them into scalable and sustainable technology solutions.

Drive the implementation and integration of workforce planning tools like Workday Adaptive Planning, Orgvue, and Anaplan Workforce Planning into Amgen's ecosystem.

Serve as the technical lead for HR technology projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and Amgen's broader technology strategy.

Work independently and mentor less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Participate in the SAFe Agile framework, leading architectural discussions, developing technical roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with product teams.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in HR and workforce planning, recommending and implementing best practices and innovations.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of information systems experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of information systems experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 8 years of information systems experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of information systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in designing and implementing workforce planning and scenario modeling systems like Workday Adaptive Planning, Orgvue, and Anaplan Workforce Planning.

Strong understanding of HR technologies, particularly in the areas of workforce strategy, planning, and analytics.

Experience working within the SAFe Agile framework, including proficiency with concepts like User Stories, Personas, Epics, Features, and Sprints.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Proven ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Strong learning agility and the ability to lead technical discussions and initiatives.

A passion for innovation, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing new technologies and solutions.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
