The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administrative support of the Company’s comprehensive benefits programs. The Benefits Consultant focuses on ensuring compliance within our benefit plans and provide exceptional service and support to our Coaches and Team Members This role is part of the Human Resources and Communications department.
Here’s more of what you will do… (OK, not all in one day!)
Administers the day-to-day administration of the medical, dental, vision, 401(K), life Insurance, AD&D Insurance, disability/leave and COBRA plans.

Monitors eligibility, limitations, and restrictions of plan participants and ensures compliance with plan provisions and government requirements.

Responds to daily emails and phone calls assisting team members with benefit-related questions and researching and resolving team member concerns.

Collaborates with the Benefits Manager to drive and support all benefit related activities including annual open enrollment, benefits/wellness fairs, leave management and leave processes other various occasions as required.

Leads the open enrollment planning process ensuring that an accurate timeline is established including all communication materials, Benefit Guides in English and Spanish, open enrollment meeting presentation, and meeting scheduling/coordination.

Researches and responds to Office of the Attorney General on medical child support orders.

Works with multiple benefit vendors as needed for benefit administration and plays an integral role in new plan and new plan provision implementation.

Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Develops and conducts benefit presentations for new hires On-boarding. Acts as the back-up to the HR Specialist-Administration to run New Hire On-boarding as needed.

Communicates and educates all eligible/active plan participants on the value of the company’s benefit plans to encourage them to become better consumers of the benefits available.

Ensures the proper administration of COBRA and compliance.

Remains current on federal and state laws and regulations related to benefit plans, etc.

Performs other Benefits/HR duties as needed.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for audits and reconciliation of Benefit plans in a timely and correct manner.

Retrieves monthly invoices for benefit plans and processes for payment.

Reconciles benefit related invoices monthly

Audits and reconciles benefit plans

Collects and reports data necessary to complete government compliance activities such as 5500s, 401(K) audits, etc.
Partners with other HR teams such as Compensation, Engagement, New Hire On-boarding, Learning and Development and Organizational Development as needed in support of HR initiatives and our Team Members.

Here's what you must have to be considered for this role…

Two to Three Years of Benefit Administration, HR and/or Payroll Experience

Previous Workday Payroll/HRIS Experience

MS Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)

Advanced Communication Skills

Strong Organizational and Detail Oriented Skills
