Responsibilities:

  • Own the collections process to assure timely and accurate resolution of accounts receivables through regular collection calls and correspondence to customers in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
  • Work independently with Project Management teams for the approval of payment arrangements, settlements, and other related payment resolution options.
  • Negotiate with customers to amend settlement options and recommends legal action for specific accounts.
  • Maintain a detailed tracker of collection status, payment promises and pertinent account details, and follow-up communications on all assigned projects.
  • On a daily basis, manage a large volume of emails which includes responding to all emails timely.
  • Create accounts receivable analysis using data analysis tools to report to management on accounts receivable balances.
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with colleagues, management, and customers which includes being able to work cross-functionally.
  • Research requests from third party collection partners.
  • Research and resolve on account, unidentified and unapplied cash receipts.
  • On occasion assists Accounting Senior Associate with daily cash application within Ankura’s ERP system.

Special/AdHoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5 – 8 years high volume corporate billing and collections experience
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable and collections procedures
  • Commitment to excellent customer service, and experience building customer partnerships
  • Ability to formulate action plan for collecting unpaid monies from the client
  • Self- motivated, time efficient and proactive with ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Exceptional communication, attention to detail, goal oriented, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve established service level metrics
  • Data extraction, analysis, and reporting experience
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including advanced skills in Excel. Workday experience is a plus.
