Practice Overview

The People Office provides support to Ankura professionals for effective workforce management and strategic business objectives of the firm. The People Office team provides a wide variety of subject matter expertise to our professionals including, but not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, training, professional development​, and corporate compliance.​​

Role Overview

We are looking to add a dynamic, personable, team player to our Campus Recruiting team.  This role will be the glue that pulls our team together.  As our Campus Recruiting Associate, you’ll help execute onboarding, campus recruiting strategy, as well as various customer-service aspects of recruiting. You’ll support by coordinating and managing candidate interviews, help candidates and recruiting personnel with schedules in various stages of the recruiting process. This role will also include event planning (e.g., campus activities, job fairs, and internship program activities).  This is where the organization skills and project management experience come into play.

In this role, you’ll report directly to, and receive direction and mentorship from a Campus Recruiting Leader (who are good people, so you need to be a good egg too). On the flip side, you’ll be able to work independently on various customer-service aspects of the recruiting process and show how you shine on your own.

The Associate is expected to have a combination of technical and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities span from general administrative support, event execution, engagement with students, engagement with business partners, and delivery of activities. 


  • You will need to work with the Campus Recruiting team to ensure a cohesive candidate experience throughout the candidate journey.
  • Ability to administer the Campus Recruiting strategy, including identifying creative approaches to Campus Recruiting support activities.
  • Plan and manage office visits, including troubleshooting, and on-site logistical issues (e.g., last-minute cancellations, rescheduling, finding interview rooms).
  • Organize and execute campus events, onboarding and assist with the internship program
  • Maintain a calendar of campus events (well, hello – this is campus recruiting).
  • Be keenly aware of the details and able to communicate those specifics out to others through verbal and written communications.
  • Able to build relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, candidates, and senior leaders of the company.
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining strong working relationships at all corporate levels and with clients/stakeholders (school contact).
  •  Able to hire and build relationships with candidates.


  • Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of HR experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity working with an HRIS (Workday experience is a plus!) 
  • Ability to develop rapport and strong working relationships 
  • Clearly, concisely, and professionally present concepts and recommendations 
  • Action oriented and eager to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, and enthusiasm 
  • Ability to think critically, logically, and analytically 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to create presentations using PowerPoint 
  • Strong Excel skill with pivots and reporting capabilities
  • Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
