Why us, why now?

The HR Systems Manager is responsible for managing and supporting the Workday Human Resources Information System as well as related applications. The position serves as a liaison between HR, Finance, Payroll, IT and third-party stakeholders. 

In addition, the role stays on top of Workday trends and provides short- to mid-range roadmap recommendations to the HR Leadership Team.  The position leads a team of two Human Resources Systems Specialists in designing and configuring the Workday application and will be overall responsible for system security, system performance, enhancements, integrations, as well as the establishment and maintenance of processes and procedures.

The role functions as a Workday subject matter expert and will both manage own Workday configuration projects and provide technical guidance to team members. 

How will you make an impact?

  • Provide Workday support including configuration, maintenance, report building, auditing, researching, and resolving data issues as they arise. 

  • Prioritize work and provide project management support and technical guidance to team members.

  • Manage own Workday configuration projects.

  • Develop and implement best practices for HR transformation using industry leading HR technologies to deliver effective business functions and capabilities.

  • Lead the team in module implementations and upgrades where applicable.   

  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to understand organizational needs and provide Workday recommendation.

  • Assist with broadening internal knowledge of Workday configuration through hands-on training to cross-functional teams. 

  • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and recommendations in Workday for various teams and stakeholders across the organization. 

  • Work collaboratively to ensure technology needs are met across cultures such as finance, human resources, and information technology. 

  • Ensure that internal HRIS procedures are maintained and adhered to. 

What will you bring to the role?

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Human Resources, Computer Science or related field

  • Minimum 8 years of related work experience is required 

  • Minimum 4 years of direct experience configuring the Workday HRIS application is required 

  • 1 – 3 years of experience leading the work of others is preferred

  • Must have demonstrated experience managing large Workday implementation projects such as the implementation of new modules 

  • Must have subject matter expertise in configuring the following Workday modules: Workday HCM, ATS, Benefits, Talent, Compensation, and Reporting. Familiarity with Workday LMS, Absence, Finance, Payroll, and Procurement a plus 

  • Must have excellent project management skills

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in a team environment

  • Good understanding of core HR business terminology, processes, and practices is strongly preferred

If a bachelor’s degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions.  One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
