At Assurant, we are seeking a passionate and energetic People and Culture Graduate to join our team and provide our Auburn based team members P&C support!  

An end-to-end P&C role where you’ll have the opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of the People lifecycle from end-to-end recruitment, providing function support, assisting in team projects, and people analytics.   

With such an expansive role, every day will be different, fast paced and have you contributing and delivering on our Australian People Plan to continue the evolution of our culture and team experience.  

 

What does a normal day look like? 

  •  We are officially a Great Place to Work, for the fourth year running! We are wanting to continue our efforts in developing initiatives and actions that keep our team excited and engaged – and you’ll be working with our people leaders to keep making Assurant an ever better place to work 
  • You'll be assisting in the sourcing talent for our teams, and coaching the team leaders on interviewing skills, all while thinking how best to enhance the candidate experience 
  • Diversity & inclusion has always been something Assurant has stood for, and we want to continue to lead and create the place for our team to bring their whole self to work and you’ll play an important role being an advocate and driver of Assurant’s DEI strategy 
  • Assisting in providing leaders and team members policy interpretation and guidance, with a focus on coaching managers to explore and consider courses of action, potential risks, and decision making 
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, OHS and other relevant legislation, and internal HR policies and procedures, and that Assurant policies are aligned to current industry practice 

 

About you:

  • Brings a collaborative and curious mindset, looking to gain depth and exposure to their experiences across People and Culture rhythms 
  • We are big on culture and values to drive our decision making – and so are you.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar field 
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal  
  • Knowledge of local employee relations framework, Fair Work Act, and other related legislation 
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS is desirable  
  • Relevant HR work experience or internship is desirable
