ABOUT THE ROLE
The Workstream Lead is a hybrid role that develops and delivers maintenance and manages a team of 6 to 10 Platform and Senior Platform Engineers. In this role, you will be involved in analyzing requirements, implementing or testing components, as well as supporting IT applications enhancements, release and maintenance, which may require a close collaboration with third party suppliers or other internal IT Teams. In this role, you will specialize in a particular area of the Workday Platform such as functional configuration, workday extend or integrations.
Working with the Workday Delivery Lead, the Workstream Lead manages a team of engineers that are responsible for all aspects of requirement gathering, documenting processes and providing systems maintenance and enhancement configuration in the system. The Workstream lead also acts as an engineer and provides solution maintenance and delivery.
Works with the Platform Lead and Delivery Lead in organizing, planning and implementing people strategies that include performance management, talent and development; ensuring personal and professional growth for the engineers reporting into the role
Coaching and supporting new joiners to the team, ensuring they are set up for success.
Hiring and training Platform Engineers, managing the day to day workload and ensuring work such as Demand and BAU Operations are delivered in a timely manner.
Suggest soft skill and technical skills trainings to Delivery Lead and Platform Lead.
Handle issues, ensuring resolution to mitigate reoccurring issues.
Ensures SOx Compliance, by conducting regular SOx audits and training sessions.
Ensure supply is aligned to demand and capacity is in optimal levels, calling out to the Delivery Lead/Release Manager or Platform Lead any concerns.
Along with the Release Manager, contributes and provides input for Sprint Planning and co-leads Daily Stand Ups.
Drives day to day activities for their stream.
The Workstream Lead will ensure people management activities are performed while completing their own work within BAU/Release Management
