What will you do?

The People Advisor supports key client groups in our business to directly enhance our employees’ experience, increase their engagement during their time with us and improve delivery of the organisation’s strategy.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

Supporting the Employee Lifecycle

  • Accountable for leading the execution of operational People activities in an employee’s lifecycle (hire to retire).

  • Support the implementation and embedding of regional and global HR strategies, plans and initiatives.

  • Encourage the effective and ongoing use of talent management and performance management systems.

  • Take a lead role in leveraging People support teams to ensure services are delivered by appropriate teams.

  • Conduct short training or walkthrough sessions in processes or in the use of Workday as needed.

Recruiting, Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Support managers and other overseas staff to ensure the successful recruitment and onboarding of all new and relocated employees to ensure they feel welcomed and valued, connected to Aurecon and able to contribute.

  • Provide induction support. Facilitate welcome sessions for new starters and ensure smooth transfers occur, leveraging the appropriate internal teams.

  • Manage the staff exit process, including the administering of exit interviews and analysis of interview data, and make recommendations to management for corrective action.

Talent Development

  • Support leaders and line managers in annual performance review exercises by being the focal contact of the process.

Evidence-based Decision Support

  • Increase the understanding and effectiveness of leaders in delivering desired people outcomes via People policies and/or processes and ensure compliance to company policies and processes and legislative requirements.

  • Responsible for the analysis and application of HR information to assist managers with making evidence-based decisions.

  • Proactively contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary People management practices which provide a consistent approach across the Region and Aurecon.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current industry trends, legislation and best practice and provide training and coaching to managers where required, including updates on People policies and programs.

Workday Updates

  • Initiate Workday requests as needed.

  • Process transactions in Workday as needed.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability to varying request. Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. And as part of a new team, you will have the opportunity to shape this role and have input into how we evolve it over time to WOW our employees and make an even bigger impact on the world. You will also need the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business or related discipline. Preferably with a major in Human Resources

  • Knowledge in ANZ & Asia employment legislation, interpretation and application

  • Competency in MS Office suite of applications

  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Workday (preferred)

  • Minimum 6+ years’ experience as an HR practitioner, with 3 years in an HR generalist role

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to create productive and influential relationships with managers, individuals and teams

  • Experience in a global Shared Services organisation (desirable)

  • Experience in customer service (desirable)

  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
