In July 2021 Azelis kicked off the Global Payroll Provider Project with the aim of transferring all the Group’s payroll activities to one single payroll provider and platform. In a second phase this payroll platform will be integrated with Azelis’ HRIS system (Workday) to move towards one global source of truth for all HR and payroll data by the end of 2023.


Provide support to the Global Payroll Provider Project Lead during the different phases of the project for all 55+ countries:

  • Payroll implementation
  • General Ledger integration
  • Workday integration


  • Assist the Global Payroll Provider Project Lead to ensure the timely roll-out of this global project
  • Follow up on the payroll implementation process and outstanding action items for each of the countries by
    • participating in the kick-off calls and weekly update meetings for all countries
    • keeping track of the open action items for each of the countries
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all parties involved :
    • Azelis : local and regional HR teams, Workday team, GL team
    • Global payroll provider : project team, in-country partners
  • Optimize the implementation process flow where needed
  • Support the General Ledger and Workday integration processes
  • Ensure back-up of Global Payroll Provider Project Lead during holiday periods
  • Check project invoices for correctness before approval

Qualification & skills

  • At least 2 years of in-depth payroll experience, preferably in an international organization and/or in a multicultural context;
  • Highly organized, with a continuous focus on process optimisation;
  • Able to handle multiple priorities at the same time and meet deadlines, solution-oriented mindset;
  • Excellent and diplomatic communicator;
  • Hands-on: quick to deal with problems and tackle them proactively;
  • Fluent English a must-have (both verbal and written communication), knowledge of French is an asset;
  • Digital literacy: proficient use of Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, etc., quick to learn and get familiar with new IT systems;
  • Discretion and accuracy a must-have, as you will be working with sensitive data;

Prior experience with state-of-the-art HR Information Systems (e.g. Workday or Success Factors) is a plus.
