You will be part of the project team to implement the Ceridian Dayforce payroll module globally at Barry-Wehmiller, working with our enterprise team to define the system requirements. We anticipate this role to transition after implementation to lead analyst on the payroll system as part of our HRIS team. The ideal candidate will have a love of technology and proven track record of providing successful analysis and solutions to business problems related to payroll. Our ideal candidate also has:

  • Understanding of payroll software solutions or business application software with the ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause and impact analysis
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and technically in both written and verbal communications
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
  • An independent learner, intellectually curious and comfortable digging for information, in order to understand and resolve issues

Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for the Dayforce Payroll module and Managed Services.
  • Support the day-to-day function of payroll processing from a systems perspective.
  • Offer and provide in-depth analysis and recommend solutions to business problems.
  • Research eligibility issues which result from import extracts and provide direction of necessary adjustments and fixes to vendor files.
  • Identify issues related to pay eligibility to employee populations, taking a global approach by recognizing issues and researching to see if others may be impacted.
  • Understand and explain systems features as they relate to customer needs.
  • Process Improvements – participate as a SME in quality improvement projects; lead and support internal organizational change initiatives; recommend product enhancements that will benefit our clients or the managed support model

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years payroll systems experience
  • Ability to recognize complex problems, analyze situations and provide suggested implemented resolutions
  • Ability to compare large data sets, organize data and summarize findings
  • Understanding of the Ceridian Dayforce product, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with Workday HCM or other cloud based HCM platform
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint and experience tracking information in case management systems
  • Ability to compare and analyze system requirements to system functionality.
  • Experience in transferring knowledge to others (coaching & mentoring)
  • Enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and optimistic attitude
