About the role:

The Global Executive Search Leader owns the strategy for the hiring of future leaders and executives across the world. Accountable for establishing trust with hiring executives, you’ll be the subject matter authority for executive level talent acquisition needs.

The Talent Acquisition team globally hires approx. 12,000 associates a year across sales, marketing, engineering, clinical, functional, and manufacturing roles based across over 70 countries. Operating as a Center of Excellence within the HR organization, approx. 200 recruiting professionals are responsible for sourcing, attraction, business partnering, candidate management, employer branding and operational efficiency to attract top talent to BD.

Part of the wider Talent Management and Acquisition and organisation, you will be accountable for approx. 250 executive level hires a year and will lead the transformation of Talent Acquisition at this level to set and develop talent strategies that meet the senior level recruitment needs both for today and for the future. Leading a team of Executive Recruiters, you will focus on team building and development as you work with business leaders, HRBPs and the broader Recruiting team to deliver white glove service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the internal expert on strategic executive talent recruitment planning by partnering with key stakeholders to proactively understand their talent needs

  • Collaborate with Talent Management to develop and integrate a value-driven pipeline of diverse internal talent into executive search opportunities

  • Demonstrate key performance metrics and achievements to measure growth and health of executive recruitment pipelines/outcomes while having a continued growth mindset to advance our recruitment offering

  • Innovate and execute to build strong and diverse leadership pipelines, evolve existing processes and playbooks and develop creative engagement strategies

  • Lead and develop a team while incorporating effective performance oversight and team development

  • Partner with the wider talent acquisition team to leverage the broad array of tools, resources and technology accessible to attract and secure talent

  • Reduce reliance and spend on external agency partners, by building strong talent pooling capabilities

  • Act as an ambassador for the Company and develop relationships with appropriate bodies at commercially/industry relevant groups/initiatives

  • Lead full life cycle recruiting process for a small amount of executive-level roles, including in-take of new search projects and creation of recruitment strategy to ensure executive talent needs are filled with a top tier manager and candidate experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Specialized in training and development, human resources development, education, organizational psychology, or related field would be a plus

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in talent sourcing, executive search, recruiting ideally with a combination in both search firms and corporate recruiting experience

  • A demonstrated ability leading and developing high performing teams with experience in the medical device, health care, pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors preferable

  • An experienced global executive recruiting leader with experience anticipating opportunities and continuously improving quality and velocity for leadership roles

  • Shown success in recruiting senior executive leaders in commercial, manufacturing and regional roles while advocating and implementing diversity, equity and inclusion practices into the search strategy

  • Demonstrable experience working and networking with HR business partners and senior leaders across the organization to influence hiring decisions and process.

  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software and candidate databases (strong preference for Workday experience)

  • Must be ready to Win as One BD with the ability to move quickly while exhibiting good judgement in a fast-paced, growth environment

  • Must operate with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
