The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

Established in 1976, Bell Partners Inc. (Bell Partners) is a privately held, vertically integrated apartment investment and management company focused on high-quality multifamily communities throughout the United States.

As part of the Human Resources organization, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.  This position will be based at Bell Partners’ Regional Office in Dallas, Texas.  You will report to the Director of Human Resources.   This is a hybrid position (work in the office three days per week, work from home two days per week).

The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition. This role is responsible for employee relations in: Texas, California, Colorado, Tennessee, and Washington.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources highly desired.
  • Four years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible Human Resources position.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ recent experience in a multi-location company with 500 or more employees
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ recent experience with California labor laws
  • SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification preferred; California specific certification is a plus
