Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Business Systems Analysis, the Application Support Analyst (ASA) plays a key role in Bentley Information Technology’s Data Management and Application Services team. This team supports over 40 enterprise applications across all business areas of the University including: Registrar, Advising, Campus Services, Procurement, and Facilities. The team works closely with the business users to support, maintain, and upgrade the systems to best meet business needs.

The ASA will assist in the ongoing maintenance, application administration, security administration, end user support, and improvement of these systems. The ASA will develop relationships with business users, understanding how the business uses technology to meet its goals. Will work independently as well as part of cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties

  • Provide application support services to business users.
  • Manage user security across multiple applications including Workday.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
  • Capture and document change requests, issues, and bugs.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise related to key business areas.
  • Document and socialize new processes/changes to existing processes.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the capabilities of software to assist users and troubleshoot software related problems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of related work experience
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with IT colleagues, business analysts, analytics staff, and business users
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Willing to learn new systems and be hands-on
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; familiar with use of support systems such as ServiceNow preferred
  • Experience in higher education preferred
  • Experience with Workday preferred

Work Environment

  • Typical office setting with extensive sitting and computer work
  • Ability to travel around campus for meetings and other work-related events
  • Occasional weekend and holiday on-call hours
