Job Location:
Arlington – 1801 S Bell (INDG)

You perform a variety of routine and complex duties under minimal supervision in order to maintain timely, accurate HR system data. You produce and analyze reports and metrics and supports functional areas with HR system operations. You support to the Workday system with a focus on business processes and application support activities, configurations, security, and optimization.

What you will do:

  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS modules, upgrades and patches, collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix, maintain HRIS tables and documents processes and results.

  • Provide support for the HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

  • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.  Serve as a liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll).

  • Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools.  Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.  Help maintain data integrity in systems by performing audits, running queries, and analyzing data.

  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.  Train stakeholders on new processes/functionality and train new system users.

  • Utilize project management skills to assist with managing projects.  May provide overall project management for specific HR initiatives or special projects.

  • Prepares files and loads data into the HRIS ensuring accuracy.

  • Provides HR Tier 2 support for HRIS.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

  • A consultative approach with HR peers and stakeholders; displays business acumen to understand business challenges and recommend solutions.

You need to have:

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience.  

  • 4 years of experience working with Workday or similar human resources information systems.

  • Critical thinking and evaluation skills required to analyze reports, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions.

  • Strong Excel skills.
