Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our HRIS and Strategy team and has a new opportunity for an HRIS Analyst. This position will serve as the HRIS and HR Reporting subject matter expert, while being responsible for providing technical support for the development, configuration and ongoing security, management and efficient operation and enhancement of the Workday system that supports core Human Resources functions.

Compensation

$69,760 – $83,000

  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid.  All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for accurately creating and maintaining HRIS reports as well as understanding and documenting HRIS reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for extracting the available data to create standard reports, queries and dashboards.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Workday reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to create custom or advanced reports and dashboards for Human Resources teams and the broader organization to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Configure changes in Workday to align with business requirements and ensure comprehensive unit testing.
  • Regularly evaluate the current state of the system and integrations, proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement based on stakeholder feedback and industry best practices.
  • Analyze the impact of Workday's bi-annual updates and ensure a smooth transition while maximizing system functionality.

What you need

  • High school diploma/GED with at least 1 year of experience in HRIS or at least 3 years of experience in Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar position; OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Human Resources, IT or related field.
  • One-year technical experience maintaining an enterprise HRIS system or three years of experience in reporting and data analytics.
  • Requires Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (e.g., Macros, pivot tables, advanced charts/graphs, conditional formatting, data tables).
  • Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.

Bonus if you have
