This will enable FastMed and Blue Cross NC, two North Carolina companies with shared values, to work together to fortify health care capacity in the state so North Carolinians have access to critical points of quality, affordable care. As a Revenue Accountant/Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in delivering financial insights to management by meticulously analyzing accounting data and crafting comprehensive reports. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Generate monthly journal entries and conduct reconciliations within Workday Financials, ensuring accuracy and providing clear documentation for all Balance sheet accounts. 

  • Record revenue, contractual allowances, and uncollectable accounts receivable from the Epic EMR system into the general ledger. 

  • Conduct in-depth monthly revenue analysis across various business segments, including Urgent Care, Family Practice, Workers Comp, and Occupational Health, focusing on Net Revenue Per Visit, CPT, Revenue by location, and provider basis. 

  • Prepare detailed monthly variance reports comparing revenue to budget, identifying key drivers behind any discrepancies. 

  • Develop quarterly collection waterfalls to track collection trends and assess the adequacy of Accounts Receivable reserves on the balance sheet. 

  • Assist in both internal and external financial audits, as well as tax audits. 

  • Produce ad hoc/special financial reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends for Finance and Operations. 

  • Safeguard financial information and maintain customer confidence through the utmost confidentiality in handling financial data. 

  • Stay updated and enhance professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and actively engaging in professional societies. 

  • Collaborate with external auditors to furnish necessary supporting documentation during annual audits. 

  • Uphold integrity in all business dealings, demonstrating honesty and trustworthiness in every aspect of work. 

 

What You’ll Bring (Hiring Requirements) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Master’s degree or CPA designation is a preferred. 

  • 4+ years of Corporate Finance or Accounting experience; public accounting auditing exposure is preferred. 

  • Experience in managing finances across multi-site healthcare operations. 

  • Proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 

  • Strong familiarity with finance technologies, protocols, and best practices. 

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently close monthly accounting records. 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Leadership capabilities to lead and collaborate within a team or work independently. 

  • Meticulous attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy. 

  • Proactive, capable of working under pressure, and flexible to accommodate after-hour or weekend work.
