Job Summary:

Contributes to Blue Diamond’s success by developing, leading, administering, and maintaining all aspects of BDG’s benefit programs with a particular focus on wellness. Develops and implements strategies to manage benefits and wellness effectively. Participates in annual benefit plan design, review, implementation, strategic planning, and communication of Blue Diamond’s comprehensive wellness program and other benefit programs. Additionally, this position provides analysis and recommendations on financial impacts and performance results relating to various high-level programs and accounts.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                           

  • Owns the development and implementation of our benefits, wellness, and leave philosophy, from design to execution, reflecting key organizational values.
  • Develops company-wide global benefits strategy and programs to support the diverse and changing needs of BDG employees, in alignment with BDG’s Total Rewards philosophy.
  • Makes data-driven decisions, applies deep expertise, and keeps updated with the latest industry best practices, benchmarks, and benefits approaches.
  • Works with internal partners and ensures compliance with global leave management, reporting, and global, federal, state, and local requirements such as ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, GDPR, and HIPAA.
  • Prepares, communicates, and educates client groups and teams on changes in policies and practices within the organization.
  • Assesses and develops the business case and return on investment for new and existing benefit programs and projects that support the unique needs of different business clients.
  • Communicates the linkage of benefits strategies to total rewards strategy while ensuring business unit and company objectives are supported with appropriate, compliant benefits tools.
  • Accountable for smooth communication, education, and implementation of benefit programs

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS                         

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience         
  • 5 years of proven experience designing, scaling, and managing benefits, wellness, and leave of absence programs.
  • Experience supporting domestic benefits programs, including regular analysis of market data and identification, selection, and management of brokers.
  • Proven experience designing, scaling, and managing benefits, wellness, and leave of absence programs.

  • Knowledge of total rewards policies & procedures with a demonstrated track record of prioritizing, defining, developing, and rolling out scalable solutions that address the needs of the business.
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills with demonstrated experience presenting to large groups, fellow leaders, and teammates of all levels.
  • Demonstrated practice of interpreting data and analytics, drawing upon insights, and leveraging established benchmarks.
  • Deep understanding of relevant federal and state regulatory compliance, including ACA ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, HIPAA, and HSA.
  • 9 years experience in lieu of degree.
  • If working remotely required to travel to BDG Corporate offices as required.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES (Specialized education, specific software experience, etc.)

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Workday experience
