As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, you will be responsible for overall security architecture and governance across the Workday platform at Blue Origin.

Candidates near or able to relocate to a Blue Origin site location preferred. Relocation provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, test, audit, implement, and administer Workday basic and advanced security
  • Partner with Workday Administrator on security configuration across all domains including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Absence, Benefits, Payroll, Integrations, and Reporting
  • Serve as a core stakeholder in the system change management process ensuring proper security for Workday changes moving to Production
  • Provide security reports to identify improvement opportunities and for security audits, and troubleshoot/resolve security issues
  • Proactively lead continuous improvements of security processes
  • Document the current and future state of Workday security configurations, maintenance, and support of Workday tenants
  • Be a trusted advisor to HR Solution Centers, business stakeholders and the HR Technology Team on all HR system security related projects and issues
  • Assist with configuration and testing of Workday security audits and maintain existing security structure, and recommend best security practices
  • Stay ahead of Workday security updates, fixes, and resolutions
  • Maintain system and security assignment integrity in compliance with internal process and controls and regulatory requirements
  • Develop relationships with other Workday domain experts and critical users and partner with internal technology teams and vendors to ensure alignment of processes to systems and tools 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of Workday implementation or operations experience
  • 3+ years of experience as Workday Security Administrator and/or Architect
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PPT
  • Project management experience
  • Expert level knowledge of Workday security and experience configuring domain, user based and role-based security
  • Proven ability to think strategically while delivering practical solutions
  • Strong communication skills to explain security and technical concerns to non-technical, business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills required to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions proactively, taking interdependencies into account
  • Experience with software testing methodology and data validation
  • Familiarity with business process design/redesign practices
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • Degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, Human Resources or related business area
  • Professional experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Visier and Glint security
