Sr IT Business Partner – HR Technology

Overview:

Reporting to the Director, Business Applications – HR Technology, the Senior IT Business Partner – HR Technology acts as a strategic liaison between the Associate Success (HR) functions and the IT organization, ensuring that HR technology solutions align with business goals and deliver a world-class employee experience.

Scope:

This role is responsible for shaping the HR technology roadmap, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the effective implementation and optimization of platforms such as Workday and other enterprise HCM systems. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in HR applications with strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills.

What you will do:

Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary IT point of contact for HR leadership and key stakeholders across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and Employee Experience.

  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for HRIS enhancements and projects.

  • Facilitate ongoing communication between IT, HR, and other business units to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.

HR Technology Roadmap & Governance

  • Co-own and maintain the multi-year HR technology roadmap in partnership with HR leaders.

  • Lead HR technology governance and intake processes for change requests, enhancements, and new capability planning.

  • Identify opportunities for process automation, self-service enablement, and experience improvement across the employee lifecycle.

System Implementation & Optimization

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning).

  • Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and integration teams to deliver scalable and secure HR technology solutions.

  • Manage upgrades, new feature releases, and vendor roadmaps to ensure optimal use of platform capabilities.

Data & Reporting Enablement

  • Partner with HR Analytics and Data teams to improve data integrity, enable advanced reporting, and support people analytics initiatives.

  • Ensure proper data governance, role-based access controls, and compliance with internal audit, SOX, and data privacy requirements.

Project & Change Management

  • Lead or support HRIS-related projects using agile or hybrid methodologies, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

  • Facilitate change management, training, and communication strategies for HR technology rollouts and updates.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 7+ years' experience as a business partner/analyst (or similar).

  • 3+ years' technical and functional experience as a Workday SME in modules like core HCM, Talent Management, Performance, Access Management, Recruiting, Reporting, etc.

  • Proven experience in business partnering roles within a global organization and the ability to work collaborative with offshore teams.

  • Proven hands-on experience leading at least 1 full lifecycle implementation of at least one (core HCM, Talent Management, Performance, Access Management, Recruiting, Reporting) module in Workday.

  • Adept at building strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience with reporting analytics – building and maintaining dashboards.

  • Experience in change management/adoption, establishing documentation

  • Proficiency in creating technical documentation and specifications.

  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of an organization.

  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

The salary range for this position is $104,669.00 to 151,665.00 USD

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
