About The Role

The Workday practice provides implementation and ongoing operational services for Workday, the premier SaaS solution for both, Financials and Human Capital Management. As a Workday Integration Consultant you will drive clients on their digital transformation journey with leading-edge technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the transformation to Cloud based services, were you will be immersed in challenging projects, taking part in all the different life cycle phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand how to manage systems, migration data quality, and volume.
• Workday integration programming work, Studio, EIB and even external vendor programming areas.

• Being aware of the overall timeline, we will contribute to efficient project management by providing risk escalation, technical alternatives, and implementation methods using the Workday function as needed.

•Focus on delivering integration solutions to Workday clients. This includes assisting customers in the design, implementation, scoping, estimations, support phases and other engagements.

•Understand and analyze business requirements to determine integration solutions across various types of tools and technologies; documentation of requirements, solutions and impacts, alternatives and final decisions.

 •Participate in discovery sessions or workshops with customer subject matter experts across various technical integration areas in delivering high-level design documentation.

•Work in a team environment, coordinating with consultants from offshore locations, with the customer team, with different consultancy firms and third party vendors.

•Understand and comply with Workday’s Implementation Methodology.

•Provide status reports to your Engagement Manager, technical lead or supervisor, keep them apprised of overall project situation.

Qualifications & Professional Skills

•Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in technology. Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred

•Previous Workday experience.

•At least 3 years’ experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft or similar Finance, HCM and CRM applications.

•Fluent language skills in Spanish and English both written and oral. Other languages knowledge is not a must but it will be appreciated.

Work directly with customers, functional analysts and integration analysts to establish

conversion approach, complete migration of configuration and to complete the data conversion / load of customer data into Workday.

•Understand technical data conversion issues, expertly resolve issues and communicate solutions.

•Assist customers with their data extract, explaining the conversion process, defining data requirements, and working with them to correct data in their legacy systems and prepare for the data conversion cycle.

•Help build high performing global delivery team.

•Ability to help clients resolve conversion issues requiring in depth expertise in the Workday solution

•Understand Workday’s implementation methodology and use it on all engagements.

•Team leadership and people management skills

•Gather Requirements and Designing application systems

•XSL transformation to transform XML documents into other formats, SOAP and/or REST based Web Services

•Aptitude and ability for learning new technologies and technical skills quickly

•Experience in cloud-based system integration, (EAI) Enterprise Application Integration and / Or (ETL) Extract Transform Load experience will be nice to have

•Ability to work with ETL software, Web Services, XML/XSLT, VBA, Microsoft Excel and an appetite for learning more.

•Understanding of data modelling concepts with an ability to manipulate data using software tools and SQL

•Ability to work in diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams

•Team player who can collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders; i.e. developers, technical operations, and customers.

•Become a functional expert in Workday Financials, HCM and other products

•Help mentor new analysts

•Participate in update training and other events that help share one’s product skills with other analysts

•Operate independently on integration / data conversion initiatives and lead an integration workstream.

Technical Skills

  • Programming skills.
  • Web service related topics (REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, oAuth etc)
  • Experience with XML/XSLT,  object oriented programming languages (Java, etc ) and other integrations tools such as Mulesoft, Snaplogic or BOOMI will be helpful.
  • Knowledge in Data Analytics/Big Data.
  • Software Tools as Notepad++, UltraEdit, Oxygen XML, SOAP UI, Postman.
