This role will be accountable for the successful delivery and the adoption of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions at Bob’s Discount Furniture. This role will partner with cross functional stakeholders to define, design, prioritize, deliver, and maintain enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. This role will fully leverage internal and external data sources and reporting tools to deliver actionable reporting solutions. This role will embrace existing & new reporting technologies, and methodologies for delivering complex data and analytics agenda. This role will also have people management responsibilities to build, retain, and excel the data team.

We are open to the right person working in a hybrid arrangement (some on-site in Manchester, CT Home Office).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business stakeholders to understand current processes and evoke, define, analyze and document requirements. Understand business measurements and indicators that drive growth, reporting and analytics across all business functions

  • Lead discovery workshops mapping out multiple data platform technology solution requirements leveraging internal and external data sources

  • Collaborate with various teams to prioritize the reporting and analytics initiatives to support critical business needs and processes

  • Partner with functional and technical teams throughout the company to define, design and deliver robust integrated business data warehouse solutions that meet business needs

  • Implement flexible data integration solutions to integrate disparate data source using batch and near real time data integration

  • Direct staff and activities to deliver end to end reporting solutions using self-service and standard reporting platforms

  • Manage the communications with our business and IT partners. Provide program and support metrics to the business identifying projects in the queue, prioritization, cost, ROI, resources and timeline required to complete the project

  • Manage the training efforts with our business and IT partners to fully adopt the business intelligence solutions

  • Provide day to day hands on support for all reporting needs

  • Oversee the ongoing development and operations of the business intelligence tools and reporting solutions

  • Recommend new or different technologies which will enhance current data warehouse & business intelligence solution delivery to meet ever expanding corporate and business goals

  • Champion and drive the value of business intelligence and metrics standardization as well as master data management

  • Guide continuous innovation and creation of new measurement solutions
     

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Minimum of 10+ years hands-on experience working in a complex business intelligence and data management environment

  • Minimum 10+ years of solid, diverse work experience in IT including experience with systems architecture methodologies

  • Hands on application center experience (onshore/offshore model)

  • Strong collaboration skills within IT and with business partners

  • Expert knowledge of design and implementation of business intelligence and data management

  • A senior level knowledge of the system development life cycle, and system and business intelligence and data management technology

  • Must be competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of business intelligence, data warehouse, and data management systems and solutions

  • Senior level understanding of client area's functions and systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal and consultative skills to work effectively with vendors, clients, peers, and IT management and staff

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP/BOBJ. SAP/HANA for Business Warehouse

  • Experience with Power BI

  • Previous project leadership experience is desirable

  • Applicable certifications

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities:

136,000 – 204,000 annually
