Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing is currently looking for a Learning Designer and Developer to join their team in Gdansk, Poland. This position will define project scope and will recommend learning solutions based off of generally accepted learning principles, modern learning strategies and end user feedback all while taking into account budget and resources. Oversees large and complex initiatives requiring, analysis, consultation, design and/or development needs. Capability to review learning solution content with instructional design and user-design methodologies. Obtains needed testing and system access requirements to support global, Business Unit and/or functional clients. Identifies business specific learning objectives and can adapt content to support various delivery methods. Is an expert and specializes in experience design and instructional design. Is skilled and executes in design, development and performance support tools and monitors implementation for iterative feedback. Identifies potential issues that impact performance and leads the performance analysis and development of improvement recommendations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, consult and/or maintain learning solutions tied into various aspects of the business (including but not limited to Business Unit, functional or Executive Leadership support)
  • Implement learning experiences with measurements showing return on investment
  • Deploy various learning experiences in multiple formats (including but not limited to web-based training, instructor lead training, virtual instructor lead, Degreed pathway support, performance support, micro-learning, etc)
  • Manage, balance, prioritize and execute on various complex learning experience initiatives and projects
  • Engage, collaborate and communicate with high level stakeholders and global colleagues
  • Leverage Microsoft Project / Project Server to manage learning experience project or initiative (including but not limited to performance to plan, RIOs and budget) 
  • Create and maintain learning enablement resources, including how-to guides, templates, samples and guidelines
  • Participate and share in the Learning Experience Design & Development Community of Practice, focusing on the knowledge and skills of LEDs, ISDs and user-centered learning experience practices.
  • Support action research, feasibility, and user studies some times conducted by the needs of learning partners in Boeing Global Services, Production System Training, Workforce Development Planning, Technology, IT, etc.
  • Lead user center design studies and sprints for iterative improvement and steady implementation for the business
  • Lead as an expert in modern learning techniques with the user as focus
  • Ability to work flexible working schedules to accommodate a global audience for subject matter buy-off, client report-outs, etc
  • Leverage Storyline, Xyleme, Getty Images, Electronic Performance Support (required)
  • Leverage Workday Learning

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in instructional design practices
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English language both in written and verbal
  • Experience with design platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate Storyline, iSpring, Moodle, SAP LSO, Blackboard

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience as a classroom instructor/facilitator
  • Bachelor’s degree or industry accreditation in instructional design, education, HR or similar field of study
  • Experience with user-centered design practices

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 12 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+10 years’ related work experience.
