Job Description

Under the Associate Director of HRIS, leads advanced reporting (Workday) EIB’s and custom Workday integrations and supports the Broad HRIS suite of applications, specifically but not limited to the Workday HCM, including the design, development and implementation of HR technology to support the Human Resources Function and the Broad overall.
 

Data Integrity & Reporting:

  • Design and develop reports utilizing a variety of tools, especially Workday. Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Workday Standard and Custom Reporting

  • Develop organization-wide metrics and dashboards to support HR managers in support of changing business needs and growth of the organization using Workday Reporting

  • Assist staff with creation of advanced queries to support their day to day responsibilities, as well as create adhoc reports, as required

  • Primary liaison with People Analytics team to assist with Broad’s mission to use Workday and people data to better inform business decisions

  • Partner with Enterprise Systems Team to support current integrations and assist with build out of new integrations

  • Create and maintain library of Broad custom reports and dashboards

Business Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and recommend process improvements and system enhancements to meet changing needs of the Institute

Project Management

  • Serve as the project manager for complex, large-scale HR technology implementations that are cross functional in nature, specifically but not limited to those requiring advanced reporting and external integrations

HR Technology:

  • Be fluent in Workday technology with intermediate to advanced level skills in HCM, Recruiting, Benefits and advanced reporting skills

  • Assist with the Implementation of ancillary HR systems that may or may not connect to Workday to reduce HR manual efforts and burden

 

Releases & New Functionality:

  • Research new features and provide recommendations to functional leads

  • Support projects to rollout new modules and functionality including scope documentation, design, UAT testing, and implementation

  • Work closely with Cloud Support Provider for Workday on bug fixes, enhancements, and assistance with upgrades

  • Plan, test releases for HRIS ancillary systems
     

Training & Communication:

  • Assist Functional Leads with developing user procedures, guidelines and training materials

  • Partner with members of the HR Operations Team in supporting, communicating and training on application updates as made available by Workday

  • Train employees on functionality and use of Workday as needed

  • Be a team lead in the area of Workday Custom Reporting, Analytics and Integrations

Technical Support:

  • Partner with IT to support current integrations and assist with build out of new integrations

  • Test and support Workday configuration for all Workday applications (HCM, recruiting, benefits)

  • Participate in the Workday and other HRIS system Community and User Groups

 

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree,  Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or related field preferred

  • 3+ years of HRIS experience

  • 4+ years of experience as an HRIS Analyst using Workday Standard and Custom reporting

  • Strong Excel skills including v lookups, macros, and advanced functions

  • Solid HR functional knowledge and understanding of HR processes and data, including workflows

  • Project Management and implementation experience strongly preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes

  • Experience implementing and supporting various HRIS platforms ( WorkDay, SAP) and functionally specific applications (ATS, talent management, ESS, MSS)

  • Effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines

  • Work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment; communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of the organization

  • Creative approach to solving problems
