This position needs to support the East Coast Time Zone.


The Senior HRIS Workday Analyst will be a key member of the HRIS team at Azenta, supporting and enhancing the utilization of all HR systems, with a primary focus on our global Workday application.  In this position you will develop as a subject matter expert for all HR transactions and business processes and will advise the HR team, managers, and employees on efficient utilization of the application.  This will include responsibility for system configuration, troubleshooting, integration design and maintenance, advising on setup options and system functionality as well as providing reporting and data integrity support.

Key Responsibilities: As the Sr. HRIS Analyst you will:

  • Participate in projects including application enhancements / upgrades, new functionality deployment and new application implementations

  • Assist COE leaders with the configuration and support of annual HR programs such as talent and performance management

  • Build complex reports and Dashboards in support of the business needs

  • Serve as initial contact point for system issues ex. processing, rescinding, correcting, and canceling transactions, provide guidance on Workday business processes and transnational usage, etc

  • Serve as subject matter expert for HCM, TA, and Time and Attendance modules. including implementing and configuring new processes and features

  • Conduct user training on proper use of applications and create user documentation

  • Drive efficiencies through automation in the areas of business processes, integrations, and data loads

  • Participate in Workday update testing process, managing issues with Workday’s support team, and supporting all HR functional groups

  • Champion key features and functionality that will enhance the user experience

  • Monitor various system integrations for errors, and provide basic integration issue troubleshooting

  • Work with HR and key managers to improve the effectiveness of Employee and Manager Self Service by developing and delivering actionable reports in appropriate worklets

  • Manage confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards

  • Provide support for Learning module as needed



Skills and Abilities Required: 

  • 5-7 years of Workday experience is required

  • Knowledge of the following WorkDay modules: HCM, Talent Acquisition/Onboarding, Time Tracking and Absence and Advanced Reporting

  • Strong HR acumen and technical aptitude

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Self-starter who possesses strong customer focus

  • Solid analytical, problem solving, and organization skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with multi-tasking capacity
