Join us as a Senior Payroll Lead
Brown Brothers Harriman Global Payroll team is currently recruiting a Lead Senior Payroll Specialist reporting into the  VP & Global Head of EU Payroll (Europe). This role is responsible for managing payroll activities and working directly with our out-sourced payroll provider to timely and accurately pay our workforce across multiple key locations. This is including but not restricted to, Poland, Luxembourg, Ireland (Dublin), United Kingdom (London), Switzerland (Zurich). This position processes and verifies the accuracy of all payment processing, as well as tax filings. The  leader hired for this role will also assist in researching assessments received from third party vendors and verifying items have been processed accurately in the payroll including garnishments. In addition, this person will be expected to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across payroll and some aspects of general HR operations.
Some of your key responsibilities include:Â Â
Payroll Processing and Verification:

Calculate and verify payroll information for both salaried and hourly BBH (permanent, temporary and intern) employees  in Krakow, Dublin, London and Zurich

Preparation of draft reports for the correct processing of payroll inputs

Prepare standard withholdings and deductions from gross pay amounts. Audit paychecks, benefits adjustments, special bonus awards and commissions and ensure they are accurately processed

Complete Quarterly and Annual payroll tasks Balance payroll records and approve tax payments, as required

Collaborate with appointed third-party vendor to ensure accurate payroll for all BBH employees Payroll Reconciliation & Reporting:

Perform payroll reconciliation, including pension payments

Resolve monthly payroll errors Complete regulatory reports as needed

Conduct analyses and prepare reports as required

Perform month end reporting procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures and regulations

Support year-end reconciliation processes
Other:
-
Identify and drive continuous improvements in payroll

Help educate employee base on their payroll, provide employee support as needed

Support key payroll initiatives
Qualifications:
-
Experience processing payroll in any or all BBH EU locations (experience with Poland, Â Zurich, London, and Dublin) )

Experience coaching and leading others, and guiding junior team members
-
Experience with both in-house and outsourced payroll models a plus
-
Exceptional organization, planning, and communication skills  – detail oriented
-
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to identify and drive continuous process improvements
-
Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines
-
Ability to work both independently and collaborate in a team environment
-
Experience with payroll and HR systems especially Workday HCM
-
Knowledge of relevant payroll taxes and legislation a plus

Knowledge of London & Dublin pension rules a plus

Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity

Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and systems interfaces

Experience in the financial services industry is desirable but not required

Fluent in English & Polish

Minimum bachelor’s degree is a mandatory
