As a Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead the talent acquisition efforts for our Private Banking, Investment Management, and Infrastructure areas, which includes Internal Audit, Human Resources, Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Legal and Finance.  In partnership with the business and the HR Business Partners, you will set talent acquisition strategies that are aligned to the business’ goals, ensuring they have the right talent in place to support their overall business objectives- in both the near and long term. 

Leading a team of experienced and dedicated recruiters, you will serve as the senior point of contact for the business on all talent acquisition related matters and will bring thought leadership, market insights, and recruiting expertise to support the business’ talent needs. You will be responsible for oversight of full life-cycle recruitment, up through executive levels, as well as our campus programs. You will be focused on ways we can improve our hiring process, candidate and interview experience, reduce hiring time and costs, and build a strong employer brand in the market. 

This role will function as a player/coach and will also have recruitment responsibility for more complex and senior level positions across all of our business areas. 

This role can be based out of our New York or Boston offices and is a hybrid position with three days in office.

To be successful, you'll:
•    Have proven experience in end-to-end recruiting within the Wealth and Asset Management industry
•    Have a commercial mindset as well as strong relationship management and influencing skills, which make you a credible trusted advisor to the business
•    Be curious about the business’ objectives and understand how you can contribute by setting the right recruitment strategy to help the business achieve its goals
•    Operate with flexibility, adaptability and persevere as deliverables and priorities change
•    Operate with a hands-on approach, while also bringing strategic thinking to define our talent acquisition approach

Primary Responsibilities:

Defining and evolving talent acquisition strategy: 

  • Developing commercially relevant and innovative talent acquisition strategies that align with the business’ needs and attract a diverse pool of high caliber talent
  • Stay abreast of key trends in the market to provide insight on recruitment best practices; develop and maintain a solid external network to call upon for market updates and insights; maintain relationships with external search firms and recruitment partners to supplement direct sourcing initiatives
  • Work in close collaboration with the business and HR Business Partners on workforce planning to forecast recruiting volumes and required resources; provide guidance to senior leadership on workforce mix and market trends on permanent and contingent resources
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues in Compensation to continuously review market trends and developments

Overseeing talent acquisition and recruitment team: 

  • Manage a team of experienced recruiters and campus programs team, providing day-to-day oversight; manage performance including appraisals, coaching, and ongoing development; serve as point of escalation for talent acquisition related matters
  • Directly lead recruitment efforts for complex and/or senior level roles, including sourcing and selection, while providing thorough, value-added screening and perspective on candidates
  • In collaboration with the Compensation team, advise on and construct compensation packages for candidates with ability to negotiate directly with senior candidates where needed
  • Influence BBH hiring managers to leverage hiring best practices and facilitate a competency based candidate review and selection process
  • Ensure recruiters deploy a range of innovative and effective sourcing and selection strategies to identify and attract a diverse pool of high caliber internal and external talent; ensure manager and candidate feedback is incorporated into the recruitment process to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring experience both internally and externally
  • Deliver appropriate reports, metrics and updates to business leaders on recruitment initiatives, including metrics on diversity pools and hiring results, utilizing the support of the reporting team as required
  • In partnership with Talent Acquisition Operations, support the execution and implementation of workforce policies (employee referrals, job posting, etc.) and provide input on enhancements to current systems, technologies, practices and procedures used within talent acquisition

Building a strong employer brand: 

  • Identify ways to strengthen the employer brand and excite top talent about joining BBH, including ongoing review of Careers Page, job postings, strategic partnerships, etc.
  • Continuously identify ways to improve the candidate experience throughout the hiring process and ensure that timely and professional communications are issued to candidates
  • Collaborate with HR Preboarding, Talent & Development and the HR Business Partners to ensure seamless onboarding of employees

Qualifications:                                                                

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8-10+ years recruitment experience within financial services; previous experience managing a recruitment function
  • Deep knowledge of related wealth and asset management areas, with an ability to ‘speak the language’ and be viewed as a credible partner to the business
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully negotiate and influence at the highest levels of the organization
  • Proven direct sourcing experience strongly preferred: excellent research skills that result in the creation of unique talent pools of qualified candidates and a demonstrated ability to create, execute and measure multiple sourcing strategies
  • Strong external network of recruitment contacts to leverage best practices
  • Ability to think strategically, independently and creatively, and take ownership of critical issues. 
  • Strong organizational agility – able to adapt to ambiguous situations and make solid decisions with limited information. 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.  Proven ability to manage time, priorities and projects
  • Experience using an ATS to track and engage with passive candidates; Knowledge of Workday preferred; demonstrated experience with LinkedIn/LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Project and other search platforms
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Salary Range

$150,000 – $185,000

BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
