Job Summary
IT organization in support and administer Workday Financial systems and process improvements.

Essential Job Duties

  • Design and deliver future-ready Workday solutions to help organizations optimize Finance functions and enhance employees’ experiences
  • Lead in architecting Workday Financials solution to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated
  • Contribute to the development of a Workday Financials roadmap throughout the implementation lifecycle and post-production support, enhancing Workday journey through new feature and SKU adoption
  • Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively
  • Coordinates with the finance department and internal/external development teams to identify systems’ requirements and needs of the organization
  • Strong experience on Workday configuration business process, notifications and etc..
  • Strong experience in report writing and building complex CalFields for reports and business process conditional rules
  • Strong experience on Workday Security configuration
  • Provides documentation and workflow analysis for financial systems/process improvement recommendations
  • Tests and validates new Workday software releases or enhancements
  • Participates in the planning, testing, and implementation of proposed system or process changes
  • Configure and test reports in the Workday system
  • Troubleshoot security issues and identify and resolve root causes of issues
  • Develop business requirements for resolving issues, new enhancements, and new applications.
  • Continually analyze existing applications and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for current applications and user manuals.
  • Contact point for systems and services that are outsourced to a third-party developer or maintenance organization.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skill/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of related Workday Financial experience
  • Ability to perform independent research
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different departments within an organization
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Experience with Excel preferred
  • Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say.
  • Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
  • Facilitation skills, to lead requirements workshops.
  • Observational skills, to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas of opportunity.
  • Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers.
  • Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information.
  • Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.
  • MS Office, Project, & Visio skills required.
