LOA Administrator

Job Overview:

The LOA Administrator is responsible for supporting Cambium Learning leave of absence program. Efforts include staying up to date on relevant legislation and policies (e.g., Family Medical Leave Act FMLA, Americans with Disabilities Act ADA and USERRA) and facilitate that the LOA program and adapts to competing business demands, market trends and organizational changes. In addition, you will serve as the ‘communications guru’, and provide guidance to all levels in the organization on all aspects of Leaves of Absence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and advocacy for employees with new or existing leave requests and manage the Worker’s Compensation workstream and program.

  • Coordinate the support for all leaves of absence and accommodations. Effectively coordinates and communicates with all internal parties regarding all cases/claims in compliance with all related federal, state and local employment laws.

  • Coordinate time away and pay arrangements between employees, payroll, vendors, PFL offset and internal clients.

  • Create and manage return to work processes for employees that may include accommodation requests.

  • Support the configuration and maintain tracking mechanisms of leaves and collaborate with the design of a LOA dashboard were the business can self-serve.

  • Support new and ongoing system integrations, audits and related tax reporting.

  • In partnership with the benefits manager assess legal changes (Federal, State and Local) to determine impact on applicable benefit programs.

  • Update and maintain internal resources website with educational support specific to support employees on leave.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration or related field and 3-5+ years of applied HR experience highly preferred

  • Leave management experience with strong customer focus

  • Strong working knowledge of current employment & benefits laws

  • Knowledge of HR programs and systems – prior experience with Workday is highly preferred

  • Creative solution problem solving and strategic mindset

  • Highly organized and perform well under pressure
