We have an exciting opportunity for a Head, Talent Acquisition to join us in leading the development and delivery of Capital One’s Canadian talent acquisition strategy to attract high caliber talent to our winning team. Reporting to the Director, Talent Experience and In partnership with your team, you will be accountable for end-to-end programs and practices from sourcing to onboarding for all lines of business. This includes marketing our talent brand, building strong external partnerships, designing leading recruitment and onboarding programs to acquire the best talent. 

What will you do:
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a strategic recruitment plan to achieve the workforce needs of today and to sustainably serve our future growth

  • Partner with senior leaders in the business to identify organizational talent needs in a technology centered, data driven and digitally oriented organization 

  • Partner with the talent brand team to position Capital One as a destination for top talent.

  • Deliver with impact and operational excellence in a high performing team with a process optimization and metrics driven mindset

  • Strategically manage and deploy talent acquisition investments in third party tools and partnerships 

  • Drive a positive candidate experience from application stage  to joining on day 1

  • Motivate a large team to achieve business objectives with a clear vision that inspires high performance

  • Create associate engagement from day one by creating the best onboarding experiences, so new associates can reach their full potential, faster

What you will bring:

Experience:

  • Strong pulse on the recruitment landscape for key job families (Business Analyst, Product Manager, Software Engineer, Data Science)

  • Strategic orientation with proven ability to set a vision, chart a path and execute with high impact

  • Proven and respected team leader with a track record for coaching to high results

  • Influential partner who leads with data informed solutions to obtain buy-in from multiple stakeholders 

  • Experienced leading a recruitment function in a faced paced, technology environment

  • Excellent communicator; a spokesperson of the Capital One talent brand

  • Leverages a strong customer orientation for building relationships in HR broadly, in the lines of business and within the talent acquisition team

  • Skilled at leveraging internal and external data to develop insights and inform business decisions

  • Has a strong bias for optimization and driving continuous improvement

  • Highly proficient with use of recruitment tools, technology and social media

  • Previous experience with Workday is an asset
