What you will do – Essential Responsibilities

Consult and review with other Workday team members for small enhancements and project work; ensuring consistent usage of functionality across the platform

Purpose of the role
This individual will be responsible for ensuring a positive user-experience for all associates and SMEs. While leveraging the platform capabilities, offer options to meet emergent and ongoing business needs. This individual needs to be a customer-focused problem-solver with a penchant for learning and teaching. Analysis and decision making are critical responsibilities of this role and are necessary for success.
Provides business and technical support for human resources applications and technology. Working as part of team, the role will be responsible for administration, configuration, and maintenance of Workday. Works closely with other analysts to develop metrics, trends and forecasts related to human capital and best practice processes. Works closely with other IT departments and human resources team on technical specifications and troubleshooting. Oversees and understands all HCM modules and the integrations. Evaluates available updates and functionality and ensures changes are in line with strategy.
Serves as a ‘super user’ and administrator of HR systems and tools to identify best practices, assesses functionality and system requirements, and recommends process improvements as applicable; ensures data integrity for all HR processes and programs. Consults with internal customers on HR technology systems application and functionality. Serves as a key liaison with third parties, vendors, and other stakeholders. Writes, maintains and supports various reports and queries; develops new standard and ad-hoc reports for customer needs.
Analyzes data to recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes. Provides production support for including, but not limited to, researching and resolving hr system issues, unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities such as system updates and audits; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Provides leadership and guidance to other Workday analyst to review the overall HCM system and the various impacts to downstream systems.
Qualifications and Requirements

5+ years of HCM SAAS experience (required) – Workday (preferred)

Advanced HCM configuration and Reporting experience; configuration experience in at least 3 modules

Must be able to communicate – both verbal and written – for direct consultation with customers at all levels in the organization to define requirements, design solutions, test and implement to meet the business need.

Must be able to independently evaluate and provide recommendations and decisions; especially as it relates to areas that impact other Workday functionality

Develop others through mentorship and peer-leadership; actively participate and encourage knowledge sharing with peers and customers. Must be able to research and develop skills independently.
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA CarMax Technology Innovation Center or the Dallas, TX Technology Hub and have a Hybrid work arrangement.
Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
