Job Description

Role Overview:

This newly created individual contributor role reports to the Director, Total Rewards – People Analytics within the Carrier World Headquarters organization and is directly responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data governance capabilities and processes. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical and change management skillset with great attention to detail and a solid understanding of data management and challenges.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide guiding principles on Workday data policies, practices, and standards that can be tailored to particular HR audiences
  • Identify and establish data owners who will orbit data governance key initiatives.
  • Understanding of Carrier’s Workday data architecture and its impacts to business processes, relationships with peripheral data, and business applications
  • Partner with HR Technology functional leads as a technical representative for data governance and integrity
  • Liaise with HR Shared Services teams to maintain data integrity of data at the front end/input stage
  • Connection point for integrations to ensure data integrity is maintained en route to other systems.
  • Establish a data health monitoring system, conduct root cause analysis, and drive remediation with a focus on cross-organizational implications to the data framework and, ultimately, Analytics capabilities
  • Champion of data stewardship, implementing a best-in-class structure and training system to drive common users to self-sustain Workday data integrity
  • Develop and maintain an HR Metrics Glossary & Data Dictionary, driving standard definitions, common language, and a One Carrier view across all business units
  • Create a data literacy education plan tailored to specific HR user groups

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates for this role should possess an advanced degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, Analytics, or related business area.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in data management
  • Expertise with data architecture and business processing in a global organization
  • Strong background in data analytics and change management
  • Excels at building relationships and big-picture thinking, strong problem solving, and strategic communication skills.
  • Ability to optimally engage with both business and technical teams
  • Workday experience preferred
