CARD is looking for a self-starter and experienced finance professional to join the organization as a Senior Finance Analyst. The ideal candidate will have an inquisitive and collaborative attitude with the confidence and curiosity to question the norm (i.e. challenging and refining assumptions / models). He/she will have at least 2 years of prior work experience in investment banking, consulting, Operations Finance, FP&A and/or Pricing. This individual will be responsible for core financial reporting in addition to evaluation of business performance and growth opportunities through research, market sizing, competitive benchmarking, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have an inquisitive and collaborative attitude with the confidence and curiosity to voice opinions and explain analyses to a multifaceted team as a business partner. This individual must be comfortable in a fast-moving and demanding environment where creative analyses must be considered at times where limited data is available.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Consolidate monthly network reporting and drive variance analyses at the enterprise and department level for executive and board presentations
    • The role will be responsible for understanding the “why” underpinning financial results and telling CARD’s story through numbers
  • Maintaining detailed models on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for deliverables including covenant analysis for CARD’s lenders and equity partners 
  • Create detailed driver-based financial models for new organic/inorganic growth opportunities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather and vet business case assumptions and underlying rationale
  • Storyboard presentations and develop decks for the company’s board of directors
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and market research to support various projects and key business initiatives
  • Occasional travel may be required / encouraged

Recommended Professional and Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a quantitative field (Economics, Mathematics, Sciences)
  • Professional finance experience in the healthcare industry and / or experience with multi-site operating models
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Workday, Adaptive Insights, PowerBI / Power Tools is a plus

Desired background/skills:

  • Highly analytical and organized – enjoy data (quantitative and qualitative) and can synthesize analysis and thoughts through your strong financial modeling, writing and presentation skills
  • Complete understanding of three core financial statements and experience with detailed variance analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple business stakeholders and communicate effectively
  • Comfort working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience presenting to executive and / or board level audiences

Reporting structure:

This role reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Finance, and will have regular interaction with the Sr. Director of Finance and Corporate Development and exposure to the organization’s Chief Financial Officer. This individual will be expected to foster a collaborative team culture and represent the finance organization with professionalism and a consistently positive attitude.
